Hi there! I’m Bonnie, nutritionist
at burgess wellness. Welcome.
My personal health journey opened my eyes to the potential for nutrition and lifestyle to impact reproductive health. I experienced the struggle of PCOS first hand. Acne, missing period, scalp hair loss, with an insult of excess hair everywhere else. Despite that, I’m grateful for PCOS. It led me here to you.
At the time, I left my career in Silicon Valley and spent time abroad in deep, holistic self-study. I redirected the course of my health, witnessed vast cultural food traditions, and confirmed my decision to pursue nutrition full time. This came as a shock to no one except myself. I’d been a wellness seeker and food lover for as long as I can remember.
This passion blossomed into my life’s work. I formalized my education at Bauman College, but I will never stop learning. I continue to pour over the latest research in nutrition for fertility, pregnancy and PCOS in order to be the most trusted resource in women’s reproductive nutrition with the tastiest recipes. I love to put my creative problem-solving to use as a committed and supportive counselor for those ready to work towards optimal health.
I’m a 200hr certified yoga teacher and practice regularly. I love to incorporate supportive, therapeutic movement and breath work to complement healing with nutrition and lifestyle modification. I’m a trail runner, a fanatical planner of all things, and a tinkerer in the kitchen. I live in the Bay Area in California with my little family: my husband, Adam; our pup, Louie; and our baby girl, Jade.
